Only Kenai Fjords Tours offers guests an opportunity to visit Fox Island, former home to Rockwell Kent during 1918-1919. He was a painter, writer, political activist and man of many talents. Now you can explore the wonders of Fox Island too!
Our cozy overnight cabins are nestled within beautiful Halibut Cove.
There are eight waterfront cabins on Fox Island, each with private shower and toilet, two beds, table and chairs and a view of the water. The island gets its power from wind and solar powered generators. No televisions, radios, computers or phones will disrupt your Escape to Fox Island and the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge.
Fox Island activities include secluded beaches, mountain trails, or add on a guided sea kayaking trip.
All meals are included in this package. Lunch is served in the Fox Island Day Lodge and includes grilled wild Alaska salmon, fresh tossed salad, delicious corn on the cob, rice and rolls. Dinners and breakfasts are served in the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge where every meal is prepared by the island chef to perfection.
Day 1 - Seward / Fox Island
- Depart Seward for Fox Island (12:00 pm)
- Lunch on Fox Island (1:00 pm)
- Afternoon at leisure for hiking, rock skipping, beach combing
- National Park Ranger talk
- Dinner prepared by the Island's Chef (7:00 pm)
Day 2 - Fox Island
- Breakfast prepared by the Island's Chef (8:00 am)
