Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge
For an extended visit within the Kenai Fjords National Park, Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge offers a truly unique way to soak up this extraordinary wilderness setting. Set on the shores of a sheltered lagoon, the lodge was designed to showcase spectacular views of the Pedersen Glacier. Accessible only by boat, Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is the only destination within the park offering a full range of guest services and accommodations. The main lodge and sixteen guest cabins were completed in 2008 after two years of development. Every effort was made to leave the land unmarred by construction. The site of the lodge resides on a 1,700 acre wildlife sanctuary owned by an Alaskan Native Village Corporation, and was once the ancestral homeland of the Alutiiq People who long ago flourished along the coastal regions of south-central Alaska.
Activities at Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge include sea kayaking tours, guided and unguided hikes, wildlife viewing and sublime relaxation. Depending on energy and ability, your personal guide and naturalist will help deepen your appreciation of the region by narrative hikes to Pedersen Glacier and evening naturalist presentations.
