Within The Wild Adventure Company is a family-owned and operated adventure travel business in Alaska offering three remote full-service adventure lodges within Southcentral Alaska:  Winterlake Lodge, Redoubt Bay Lodge, and Tutka Bay Lodge.

Within the Wild Activites

Wildlife excursions, float trips (with both emphasis on sportfishing as well as natural history touring), helicopter hiking and fishing, backcountry hiking trips, dog sled tours, cross-country skiing, ocean kayaking, ocean sportfishing and other outdoor adventures.

Winterlake Lodge – Year Round Wilderness Experience

Located along Alaska’s Iditarod Trail, Winterlake Lodge sits on 15 acres overlooking Winter Lake, a finger-shaped 2-mile lake where guests land by floatplane in the summer and skiplane in the winter.

Winterlake Lodge Activities

Behind the lodge, Wolverine Mountain offers intriguing hiking and wildlife viewing. Hiking along the Iditarod Trail, helicopter glacier trekking, and sportfishing for salmon - as well as yoga, massage, and a hot tub. Cooking classes and wine and cheese tastings -- all in a private, remote setting surrounded by spectacular scenery.

Winterlake Lodge is the only property open year round. It is the Finger Lake checkpoint along the historic Iditarod Trail and open for winter adventures from November to April.

Redoubt Bay Lodge – A Great American Adventure

Redoubt Bay Lodge, 50 minutes southwest of Anchorage and located at the entrance to Lake Clark Pass, offers the only accommodations within a 171,000 acre critical habitat area, and is the only 5-acre privately owned property in the region!

Three lakeside guest cabins, a cozy hand-hewn log main lodge, and world-class staff and service make the stay at Redoubt Bay Lodge a memorable addition to your wilderness adventure.

Redoubt Bay Lodge Activities

Guests enjoy sport fishing for salmon, kayaking around the lakes, hiking, and experiencing the natural beauty of the Redoubt Bay Critical Habitat area.
Excursions into Lake Clark National Park, flight seeing through the Pass and to Redoubt Volcano, and other adventures in the surrounding areas.

Tutka Bay Lodge – An Oceanside Retreat

Tutka Bay Lodge is located in a remote and rugged fjord along Kachemak Bay, nine miles from  the seaside village of Homer. This area offers rugged coastlines, deep fjords, dramatic mountains, quiet beaches, and forests.
This newest of the three Alaska lodges includes six private guest accommodations, seasoned full-service staff and guide services, and an array of activities within the Kachemak Bay marine community.

Tutka Bay Lodge Activities: 

Ocean kayaking, hiking in Kachemak Bay State Park, sportfishing for salmon and halibut, and freshwater fishing blend high-energy adventures with seaside serenity. Guests enjoy award-winning cuisine and complimentary amenities such as massage, yoga, wine tastings, cooking classes, and guided adventures for a complete Alaska vacation package.
