It’s no secret that the Kenai River is one of Alaska’s most productive stretches of water. A three hour drive south from Anchorage puts you on the Sterling Highway and in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula. With Cook Inlet on your right, and the Chugash Mountains on your left, you’ve have entered a realm of spectacular beauty and legendary sportfishing.

The Great Alaska Adventure Lodge is located at the confluence of the Moose and the Kenai River in the town of Sterling. The lodge is situated on a large bend of the Kenai River and enjoys spectacular river and mountain views. Great Alaska is much more than a fishing lodge. Catering to the passionate angler as well as family and corporate groups, Great Alaska’s range of adventure packages is impressive.

Great Alaska offers more tour options and packages than any other lodge in Alaska. For over 25 years, Lawrence John and his son Kent have worked tirelessly to perfect and extended their range services in Alaska and beyond to Mexico, and Costa Rica.

With a capacity to accommodate up to fifty guests, Great Alaska is natural fit for corporate retreats, family reunions, incentive programs, customer appreciation trips and seminars.

Getting There – Just Follow the Yellow Brick Road

Getting to Great Alaska is easy. Guests overnight in Anchorage at one of several recommended hotels, and are picked up at 7:00 AM for the scenic three hour drive to Sterling. For a small additional fee guests can elect to return via commuter flight from Kenai or a floatplane from lodge.

So just imagine. You have followed the “Yellow Brick Road” to the Great Alaska Adventure Lodge. Now all you need to do is click your heels three times to be magically transported to any number of Alaskan adventures.
